ORing’s IES-2042PA and IES-2050A are slim type lite-managed redundant ring Ethernet switches, both models feature compact housing and enable the users to install very easily. IES-2042PA and IES-2050A support Ethernet redundancy protocol O-Ring, O-Ring is ORing’s proprietary redundant ring technology, which enables less than 10ms recovery time over 250 units of connection, hence it can protect your mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions with its fast recovery time. In addition, the devices also support Open-Ring technology. Open-Ring is an enhanced redundancy technology that makes ORing’s switches compatible with any proprietary redundant ring technologies from other vendors, and failed switches can be replaced by ORing switches with fast recovery time.
Being qualified industrial grade networking devices, IES-2042PA and IES-2050A equipped with rigid IP-30 housing design and can operate under harsh environment. From -40 to 70°C wide operating temperature range enables the device to operate smoothly in various harsh environments, thus IES-2042PA and IES-2050A can satisfy all your requirements and are suitable for various kinds of applications.
The devices can be used in connecting several Ethernet devices such as Ethernet I/O, IP-camera, Ethernet switches ... etc. It is also worth to mention that IES-2042PA equipped with two SFP ports. SFP is the short form of Small Form-factor Pluggable, an ideal I/O solution for data communication applications, it interfaces a network device motherboard (for a switch, router, media converter or similar device) to a fiber optic or copper networking cable. It is a popular industry format supported by numerous industrial networking device manufacturers, to certain extent, SFP solution also enhances the flexibility in constructing an Ethernet Ring.
For users’ convenience, IES-2042PA and IES-2050A offer the setting ability of Web-GUI and Windows Utility, these two models also support the simple DIP-switch setting function which enables the users to have great flexibility when setting up an Ethernet Ring.
